Ways to extend the service life of flanged slewing bearings

Flanged slewing bearing mainly bears the radial load, but it can also handle radial and axial loads simultaneously.
(1) To set the radial clearance between the bearing housing and the bearing ring more significant than the eccentricity, the internal structure has been improved.
(2) Improve the strength of the positioner by optimizing the shape and thickness of the plate;
(3) To prevent surface damage caused by the reduction of lubricating oil, a guide groove is designed on the bearing ring.

Flanged slewing bearing installation precautions

For flanged slewing bearings and other products, the installation work must be optimized to realize the application of the bearing under the optimized installation state. When installing the bearing, you need to pay attention to the following three key issues to ensure the regular operation of the bearing installation:

1. Distinguish components. Flanged slewing bearings are composed of multiple parts. Especially during installation, numerous features must be installed together to form the entire system, and each element’s installation location and method are specific. In this case, to do a sound installation, all components must be distinguished and not confused.

2. Clear steps. To ensure the installation status of the flanged slewing bearing, it is required to clarify the specific operation steps before installation and strictly follow the prescribed steps during the installation process to avoid operational problems affecting the installation effect.

3. Make sure the parts are in the correct position. All components of the flanged slewing bearing must be installed in the required work and condition to achieve a good installation effect. Therefore, if the bearing is to be installed, it is essential to ensure the correct position of the components.
